I notice that many of your blog posts have between 20 and 30+ comments. I looked at the thread on the pinwheel sandwiches made by your daughter - Very cute! A number of the comments seem pretty disconnected from the content. Are you finding that it is easy to manage that many comments? Do you go back and reply to them? Are people within the comments engaging each other?

Your do-follow comment strategy looks successful: Did all those people flood you after the switch, or did you get that many comments before as a "no follow" blog?

Thanks! I am always really interested in comment conversation. I find that I can easily get about 20 comments per article, but after that it drops off, but I guess that just means I need to improve my traffic. You must have fabulous traffic!

Thanks for the opportunity. I had to place a catcha symbol on my blog to avoid at least 50 spammers a day. Mostly trying to get automated backlinks instead of building them naturally. Cheers!

I'm getting a lot of Spam but my Spam filter is managing to get all but a few comments.

I only approve those that are relevant so not too much difference comments volume wise as I always got quite a few comments before. The only reason I changed was because a lot of genuine bloggers struggle to get links so I though changing to Do Follow would benefit everyone (as well as me obviously lol)

my blog is do follow too! but i hardly get any comments at all on PR1 site. as for the PR", i get a few spammy comments. maybe two a week
