Blog directories - how much is too much ?

Follow what Rome1 sent you. Also search "Robin Good's Blog directory list" he goes over like 200 top ones in the world. If you search "Blog directories" it may even come up.

Also I"d lose the "racist" in your sig. The mind doesn't compute "Not, Aint etc" all I saw was racist and got turned off. Went to your site and liked it so you may lose some potential fans that way. I'd just avoid the word.

I would agree. Something about the whole "I'm not a racist, but..."

I generally don't go out of my way to submit to directories, just a few here and there if I'm bored. There are good ones such as this one that it's well worth being on, but a lot of the non-niche ones I wouldn't bother with

Most non-niche ones are becoming useless and unfortunately as time continues will only continue to do so IMO (at the moment) opinions may change. I did however submit to an interesting looking bid directory today

I'll be honest, I was uhmming and ahhing about starting one off. I know a lot of them have taken a hit in google, making them completely useless.

Then again, they were accepting gambling/medicine/pornographic sites left right and centre, just taking the money and run, they were also heavily investing in paid links and when google found out, they slapped them.

I personally don't think there's anything inhereantly wrong with them, you just need to go about them in a certain way. I'm going for the slow and steady approach of building mine up, rather than the quick buck.

The only thing I hate is when people have 1000 of the advertising buttons from the directories on their blog. How much is to much really?
