Default Affiliate tips

If you are affiliated with a company like amazon, for example, your blog will no doubt feature several advertisements from such a company but if you want your affiliated products to reach a wider audience, have you thought about inserting text links when writing comments on other blogs. You might want to ask permission from the blog creator before creating links in every comment you make though as you don't want give the impression you are simply using their blog as a marketing tool.

The great thing about text links is that they are non-obtrusive, so there should be little concern. I haven't been using this strategy for long but it is one of several affiliate marketing techniques I plan to employ.

Default Affiliate Marketing Tip - Include them in Bloggeries

Another great tip is if you have affiliate programs that are compliments to your niche mention some products from time to time in a blog post itself. This is a great way to get exposure and it's a legitimate product that is relevant to your niche you may make some great conversion rates. Many blogs do this especially ones on making money. If you have a blog on fashion put a link to some great eye liner you found and use w/ your affiliate link, same applies for any niche you are in.

Hope this helps,
Rob

Default Affiliate Tips

Occasionally I do include affiliate links in my blog posts and actually it seems more effective than standard advertising. If anyone wishes to add links, whilst commenting in other blogs, I would seriously recommend asking for approval, first as I have discovered that some don't like it but if anyone posted their affiliate links whilst commenting in my blogs I wouldn't mind because, I wouldn't be losing anything anyway, it simply means that my ads are not effective enough or it didn't catch the viewers eye, which would probably be the case with or without the third-party affiliate links. Does anyone else have any useful tips they would like to share?

I recommend asking as well. Worst is making 5-10 comments over a week on several posts and realizing that a week later the owner removed them for spammy affiliate links. Many don't allow it as it's an open invite to spammers who have no interest in anything but promoting there "stuff" through any means necessary.

I would assume most blogs that have non moderated comments who allow affiliate links are "NO FOLLOW" just an assumption though.

Yeah comments should be moderated but I think there is no harm in the occasional affiliate link as long as its not spammy and the individual does have a genuine interest in your blog. It can be a hard balance but I think someones intentions can be worked out pretty quick.

I have had quite a few people leave an affiliate links when commenting on my blog. It drive me nuts and i think it's rude, I end up deleting the comment and banning them. If an author is nice enough to allow the comment links to follow then you shouldn't push your luck by leaving an affiliate link.

I guess posting affiliate links in blog comments is similar to the people who daily join this forum and make one or two posts with affiliate links. It is clearly only there for one reason alone and that is why we delete them. Personally I've never done that however I have left tones of comments on blogs for traffic to find them deleted. I can imagine affiliate links get deleted even faster.

Maybe just link to your main blog page but have your affiliate options in one of your sidebars is a more polite and unobtrusive means of accomplishing the same goal.
