I have both a personal donation button on a Support This Project page and prominently placed charity donation buttons and have yet to receive anything through either. Am I going about this wrong, or maybe I just don't have enough traffic yet? Any thoughts?

I think the only way you'll make any money with a button like this is if you have a gimmick that drives donations, you tell people what you're putting the money into, explain why you need it etc.

In general, donation buttons won't do much for ya.

I put donation before but i delete it since i just started recently but i think it's a good idea

I have a donate button, and while it hasn't ever brought me any cash, I did have someone contact me saying that they saw that I take donations. My blog gives away small toys, and they donated HUNDREDS of toys to me. So while it hasnt' gotten me any cash, it has helped out in the long run! I'm glad it was there to be seen!!
