Get More Readers (joint venture style)

How would you like to multiply the amount of readers you have? Okay, here it is (and it is surprisingly easy). This is leaveraging at its best:

1. Find another blog owner that is NOT in direct competition with you.
2. Make a proposal to them that will be beneficial to the both of you. The proposal will include you presenting their product (or whatever makes them money) to your viewers in exchange for them to do the same for you. This brings in all of their traffic to your site and the same for the other blogger.
3. Make sure that this "joint venture partner" you have is within the same scope that you are in. You don't want to trade with someone else that has only 20 readers. In other words, be picky!

joint ventures are really amazing, cross posting links on each others twitter and facebook accounts should be included with joint venturing.

Mention their specific posts with keywords so searchers can find it, dont just direct people to an entire blog. Be specific.

This is a good technique. Of course it helps if the other site is of the same age / PR or better than yours. Also make sure that any links exchanged are in the body of blog posts, rather than the sidebar. Google assigns much more weight to natural links that occur within the body of posts.

Yes great method but if your website isnt ranked high in the search engines or low amount of traffic then all your going to hear is the big NO!! lol

On the other hand if you are searched high in the search engines you dont need joint ventures to improve your rankings because your already there lol.

How ever if you have a low traffic blog and you do a joint venture with another low traffic blog then there aint much point in it lol

What I am trying to say its great to do but very hard lol

I agree with you for the low traffic blog part. However, big blogs use JVs and this helps a lot in product launches. Ever noticed how almost all the big blogs started writing about Darren's 31 Dyas To Build A Better Blog book when it was launched!

Cooperation with other bloggers is always good. What's time consuming is the back and forth communication to work out a mutually beneficial arrangement.
