How To Get WAY more Comments

Requesting the visitors to leave their opinion in the form of a comment works out many a times. You just need to be polite and interactive. If your language is not convincing, leave alone getting comments, people will not bother to even read your post by half the way.

Even then we find many blogs filled with errors showing up on the first few pages of Google. This is definitely automated software nothing else. And the day will surely come when their blog will be identified as a spam by Google.

You should take a look at my blog. You can create what is called a "sticky" blog. A "sticky" blog is one where the readers want to leave comments, and there is absolutely no reason to think that you won't be able to manage spam. Just have a good spam filter. Akismet spam filter totally works - I find that with one click I can just "empty spam" and it sorts comments from spam correctly about 98% of the time.

If you want way more comments here are the steps I recommend:

* Please remember that some topics are way easier to talk about than others. One advantage that I have is that coffee, tea, and food are universal topics so it make it easy for someone with almost any background, any age, and any gender to comment. If I had a blog on "health problems of elderly women" you would for sure find it harder to get comments: Much more narrow audience.

* Participate in the big ol' comment thread on this site. (read the first post in the thread first)

* Have great original content

* Use social media

* If comments go through moderation, approve them fast - This is important. No one want to wait to see their comment show up.

* Have a friend that helps you out as an "ice breaker" - if he or she is also genuinely interested in your blog topic.

* Invite people to weigh in their opinions at the end of a blog post.

* Respond to at least 50% of the people leaving comments on your blog.

i hope that i haven't missed a posting about this - but here goes, i want to change the script at the end of my posts. it reads - continue reading, and only if people do that do they see the leave a comment sentence. can you offer advice as to what page php? that will allow me to change the wording, i've looked and can't sort it out...i want to offer the comment hook at the end of each post. big cheers

* Reply to some of the comments. I actually operate on the theory that I don't necessarily have to reply to all of them. When there are like 40 comments to a thread, that would be a lot of replies but make sure you're participating on your own site.

* If you have comments that go through moderation, respond very fast. I know that I compulsively check my site from my phone in the day because everyone hates when it feels like their comment gets ignored. That's why you have to get to pending comments fast.

I noticed that making friends and commenting on other blogs works really well.
