Article submission is a great way to do propaganda about your business, your blog, your website, or yourself too.

If you are writing about your business or your blog a good authentic article fetches you a great number of traffic.

If you are writing about yourself then it gets you the ‘expertise’ value.

Many search engines crawl and hook onto the keyword and keyword phrases of a site to put it in their results list. If your content contains a good number of keywords and keywords phrases, your site gets a higher position in the search engine listings. I'd recommend you make sure the content is indexed on your site first, than republish it slightly different on a handful of top directories. Forget the automated spammy submission methods. It will be much more effective if you post a few slightly modified ones that obviously link back to your blog.

I normally write different articles for my blogs and ezines, but in some cases when I feel that a topic can bring me good traffic and readership if I post it on my own blog and it can equally be effective if I get some links from ezines and other sites where it'll be published, I just write two versions of the same topic. For instance, The relationship between Success and Education was something worth reading as well as effective for getting some backlinks so, I made two articles out of it. "Success & Education" and "Role Of Education In Success" with about 40% different content.

yup fair enough. Unfortunately they dont take identically same articles that may be on your blog ONLY. even if it is originated by the person who own the blog.

I haven't submitted articles in a while however for those who didn't catch it first time. I highly recommend IdeaMarketers Article Bank - Promote your articles, find articles, article promotion - Idea Marketers ; I used to use it to get into search engines. Make a new site, write an article put it on your site, submit a slightly modified version there and in 3-10 days boom your in google. Not sure if it works anymore but it used to and it was great. Either way it will get you exposure and I think you can syndicate so other people looking for content can use it and link back. Write a KILLER article and get lots of traffic. The more time you spend on the article the better. Once it is "out there" it's "out there" so the better it is the more views it will get.
