Adsense can be great for the bloggers who have massive amounts of traffic. However, even those who have an impressive amount of readers still make modest amounts of money with google adsense. If you are looking for additional ways to make money, think outside the "norm." If you have not all ready, sign up with clickbank and start promoting other people's product and recieve a much bigger cut (vs. the pennies adsense will give you.) When deciding on what to sell, make sure that it is something your readers truly will value and like! Also, make sure that the commission is good enough for you. I personally have seen the awesome results that clickbank can have. |

I agree with you completely. I think that the profits are minimal with Adsense. One would be better off promoting Clickbank products.

I'm discovering this. I'm having a hard time putting value on my Google AdSense ads, when the space could be used by bigger profits like from Clickbank. However, half of the Clickbank ebooks look so scammy. I'm digging in and looking around for ebooks and other products that really look worthwhile and are of interest to my readers. Just throwing in anything at all will probably not be worth it. Currently working on my own ebooks, too. A page a day... |

I think that you can make money with Adsense ... It all depends on your niche, site layout, and a lot of other things. If you're in a niche that gets very 'high priced' clicks, like Mortgage or Credit Cards or something, and your site is highly tested and optimized and you're getting a 5-10% click thru rate at $1-2 dollars a click, you could pretty easily make $10 or $20 a day without a ton of traffic ... On the other hand, bloggers in other niches who just throw up a few ads on their blog will make pennies a day. You have to test and figure out what's best for you. spyfu.com is just one good resource to find out how much people are paying for clicks ... |

I had my AdSense terminated years ago and it's the best thing that ever happened to my income. Now I give away free money and get paid a lot more for doing it.

I also agree with you. My tip to professional bloggers is to sell or promote other peoples/companies through your website. For example, I help manage a small IT Support Company. If a anyone's site was to refer us traffic that turned into business then we would always pay the site owner. So on an average contract someone could easily earn £200-£300 per business sent our way. I am sure there also others out there like us in various industries.

There's no right or wrong answer as there are too many factors to consider. Adsense works for some niches really well, whereas affiliate products are better for others. BUT it all boils down to getting targeted traffic!!!
