Default How To Get Boatloads of Traffic

There are sooooo many ways to get traffic. The sad thing is that most people do the same old things over and over. So here are two great tips:

If you are not all ready linking your blog posts to Twitter, you are missing out on traffic. You can automate this by signing on with pingvine. It's easy and a time saver (not to mention it generates more traffic).

On your blog, post links to other helpful blogs (and in exchange, request that the other blog will post YOUR link on their site). Just make sure it is not a competitor to you. Most times, people will agree because it benefits both of you.

These are only two ideas....I will be posting more soon (you can check my old posts for other ones too).

I think that is a very good idea. At the present time most of my traffic comes from Twitter beause I tweet most of my posts. I haven't asked anyone to tweet for me, but that is a very good idea!

Meh. Just because someone emails me and asks me to link back to them, I tend to ignore those requests. What do I get out of it?

I do guest blogging. I ask other bloggers if they accept a guest blog post. Most accept those. Readers pay attention to the guest bloggers, you get a link back and traffic. (Instead of a link on the side bar that can easily be missed!)

Second one is pretty solid if you have a rather solid update yourself.

Try Zemanta to get in their engine of "suggested related links".

Twitter - Don't waste your time, it's for meeting people etc... Most people just use it to broadcast, you'll probably be disappointed. Facebook is MUCH better.

Just a suggestion for traffic - submitting to various RSS feed services allowing your content to be shown to a wider audience. Once this is established major search engines such as Google should rank your posts based on keyword and content parameters.

You didn't mention guest posting. I guest posted on a PR 7 site last month and got over 2K hits in one day just from traffic coming in from that site. I loved it and am going to try ad guest post more often!

Great insight QM - Have seen this work as well on my part, however with alot less hits. My post was on a lower ranked PR blog, but the spike was noticed at about 5 times the amount of visitors/readers.
