Feedback on Your Blog!

Hi everyone,

I just recently noted the other thread which talked about giving people feedback on their blog. The old thread seems a little bit old and there is no one offering advice anymore. That's why I decided to start a new thread about it.

I'd love to review your blogs. I will take a look at everyone's blog and tell you what I think should be changed and what I like.

I would also like everyone participating to check out the blogs of the other people that have posted here and to share your point of view.

Also feel free to take a look at my blog and tell me what I could change.

I like the big picture as the header .. you automatically know what your blog is about. I also think it's great that you have a box saying "Updated Every Friday" as this will give people an idea as to when they need to check on your blog again.

When I visited your blog the Twitter feed didn't seem to work .. don't actually know why but you might want to check that out. Then I think you should change the headline at the top of your blog that says "Just another Wordpress.com Weblog" as this is the default message from Wordpress. I like your content as it's different from many blogs but I think you could add pictures to the articles from time to time. Of course you don't need to but it would be definitely interesting for your readers too. You could think about changing the layout a little bit since it's pretty much a standard theme. I would keep it simplistic though. One last step you can take is to change your username under each article to your real name.

I like the way your web site is lay out. It's very simple but a clean theme. But I would suggest adding a little bit of a margin to your top header "Guide Goods" because it almost looks like it's gonna be cut off from the web page. In my opinion I would also remove the little box which is shown to new visitors to subscribe to your blog. The reason is simple: I don't know anything about your blog when I first visit it so I am not going to subscribe. If your content is useful then I will definitely subscribe and I will definitely click on the large RSS feed button in your sidebar.
I would also add a margin to the headline of each article so that it's a bit separated from the article content. You should also take a look at your footer. I think it could look nicer especially with that little dot to the left removed. But overall I got to say that you have a nice blog.

I think you might be able to change that under your Wordpress Settings. I think it's the tagline that contains this message so you might simly remove that text.

Your blog looks good as of your design. But I think you could do a lot better by customizing your theme to look a little bit like Apple's stuff since that's what your web site is about. I think it would actually be awesome. I just googled some Apple Wordpress themes maybe they will give you an inspiration as to what you can do with your blog theme.
One thing I don't understand is why you keep a clock on your blog. What the reason for it? And if you just like to have a clock on your blog then I would put it in a different location. The location you put it in is pretty important so I might think about changing that. I think what would be also awesome for your web site is to have a Apple inspired logo. It would definitely help your blog.
As for the content I'd actually break your articles into more paragraphs. It just something to keep in mind. I am also not a fan of ads that are in the content. I think it destroys partly your good content. So instead you could put the ads right under the post in a neatly separated box. What do you think?!
I also like the idea of the shout box but again I would change the position or at least the color of it. The reason is that it's distracting readers from your content as it's very bright. So simply change the color to not make it stand out as much.

That's just my point of you. What do you think? Don't be overwhelmed by all the things I've mentioned just take one step at a time. My blog isn't perfect either. I still enjoyed reading your content.
