Do you use Squidoo?

I had one lens before but squidoo deleted it when they did the so called spam cleanup. So, I got another lens. I like squidoo. The one that got deleted had generated some traffic, but I did have to work for it. I'm hoping this new lens I made will do the same.

For me squidoo has lost the google love it used to have. Hubpages ranks much more easily.

I have only created one squidoo lens. And I did this expressly to see whether it would generate ANY traffic to my site, and... no... no it most certainly didn't. It is probably possible if you promote your squidoo lenses as well, but it just seems like too much of a hassle if you are just using it as a vehicle to promote a blog or website.

I use it to get traffic and to make a little exrta money. I haven't had much success with Amazon, but I do well with the tier payouts.

Is Squidoo any good for building do follow backlinks. I don't mind promoting and working hard. I have been finding it hard to find places to get links to my blog.

Can someone tell me the difference between squidoo and hub pages? Which do you prefer? Any other alternatives to squidoo?

I remember I signed up to it, from hearing about it through here but left it.

Not had the chance to experiment with it yet.

What are the lens about? And how do they work from that regard?

I have it, but so far I haven't found it to be very successful, at least, not as successful as Digg or StumbleUpon. It does grant me one linkback, though.
