Duplicate content ?

Hi folks,

I just moved from Blogger to self-hosted WP (as the whole world knows by now ) and I just :

1) Imported my old posts from Blogger
2) Put a link there that directs to my new blog

But a commenter warned me about "duplicate content". What, who, how ???

Basically, what is duplicate content and does it harm my blog ?

No duplicate content doesn't directly harm your blog, as far as I know but search engines dislike duplications so you may go down in rankings.
