I know there is no exact answer, but I was just wondering, because I don't want to have a month where I'm full of posts, and one where there is barely any. Thanks for any help.

Personally, I think 4 to 5 posts per week is a nice number. Not so much that folks on your RSS feed will become annoyed in receiving a daily items from you or that your daily feed becomes just every day noise yet not too infrequent that they forget about you. I hope that helps.

You should have as many as possible per month. You need to build quality content if you want to show up in search engine results. But you also want to keep your feed subscribers happy. When you first out all your subscribers will be bots so write as much as you can because the bots will love it. As your blog gets older and gets more real human subscribers you can tone it down some.

How long is a piece of string? To me it is really up to you, but it is always about quality not quantity.

Hmm okay, I will try to post as much as possible then. But make sure they are good quality posts. |

I try to post at least every other day, but sometimes I am just too busy to do that. It takes awhile to write a good post, or find a terrific photo I want to talk about. I have to keep reminding myself that if I want something bad enough (like more traffic...) I simply have to MAKE the time. I want to post at least every other day, that is my goal. |

I too struggle with how many posts per month. I want quality but I also see in my traffic that if I don't post something new, traffic dies down. I'm trying to always have at least 3 new posts a week, but it's hard to do that and always feel like I've got quality content.

I tend to disagree with that. My entire focus is quality content. And I think very few blogs can have one or more new posts per day and still have great quality. Perhaps highly professional blogs with staff of writers...
