I update daily because it's a travel blog.

Update as often as you can provide witty / informative bloggeries.

Also depends on your niche, yes?

P.S If you aren't UBER into something... Just stop doing it or do it once a week and make it hot so search engines will find it over time.

Life is short, do what you love, ignore the rest.

I think giving 3 useful information daily is enough. More over we can get more vistors to our thread.

I try to post something at least every couple of days so I can generate traffic. I try always to do quality posts. I know sometimes it is hard to post regularly but I think people who are regular readers to your blog figure out your posting routine and if that changes you may lose regular readers.

Its better to space out your posts... instead of posting writing a bunch one month and a few the next... just split the difference... The bots don't crawl your site every day, so don't sweat it. Just post once a week, that should be more than good...

But what about the human readers? They might like a post more than once a week - I know I do.

I agree with 3-5 post per week, one or more post a day will choke your readers special those who are subscribe to you. Imagine the number of articles they will receive in there rss reader in a week and mind you, you are not the only one they're subscribe on. With the massive amount of articles in their reader they will probably just skip reading some of it(speaking for myself LOL).

I do, too, but if it's a difference of getting 1 post a week for 2 months....or getting 8 posts all at once and then nothing again for another 2 months, I'd take the first. I've actually read people who do the latter and I forget they even exist in between, but if I know someone only posts once a week, I'm okay with that.

Oh, yes, I absolutely agree with you there. A fairly even distribution of posts over time is definitely better than a flurry followed by a long pause. The benefit of the flurry will be more than cancelled by the pause.

Edited to add: Which means, now that I re-read his post, that I owe justinkase an apology for my snarky response. Apologies, justinkase; I responded to the second half of your remark without putting it in the context of the first half.

Aww! I have much respect for a person who can apologize for an honest mistake.
