What Kind of Marketing Technique Do You Use in Order to Attract Visitors?

Hey guys,

I am interested in all of your techniques that you use to get more visitors to your web page. I use, obviously, forums to drive traffic to my web site. But I also comment on other people's blogs which does not only increase my traffic but also makes more people comment on my posts.

I've also written guest posts which are really effective but they are very time consuming.

What techniques do you use? Through which do you get most of your traffic?

I use my youtube videos/channel which has 2400+ subscribers. It's helped a lot, lol

#1 - Great content. Ultimately your blog is content. If you have something thoughtful, written in correct English, on an interesting topic, people will come.

#2 - I use twitter a lot - I've been using twitter for a while trying to connect with others with a similar interest, and this has worked well for me, but it's not quick and easy.

#3 - Establishing a few links here and there through blog comments or other places. - I try to regularly visit other coffee blogs, and leave thoughtful comments. Here at bloggeries, I've found a number of cool blogs too that I now visit often and we swap comments now and then.

#4 - The blog comments issue - I find that people are attracted to blogs with a lot of comments because it makes the blog seem alive, and sometimes the comments are as interesting as the article.

#5 - Make sure that my blog always has something visually interesting ... I think people really love to see pictures because it adds to the content.

I have a Facebook page for my site - which has been a big help. Commenting on blogs also huge! Word of mouth.

Next on my list is business cards (simple ones made on my computer) and I am making a bumper sticker for my cooking website.

Right now we are going slow and steady, but I am very proud of my work so far.

Hard work pays off... guest posting on blogs will give you the follow:

1.)Backlinks
2.)Credibility
3.)Networking with the blog owner

All 3 are important for you to succeed. You can't succeed alone without networking with other people in related niche.

I pay a guy to dress up in a chicken suit and stand on the corner of one of Los Angeles's streets waving around a sign with my website address. I can't tell you if it's working or not.

I only use twitter right now. I do have my blog up on my FB page but I rarely ever update FB.
