Default How you find good candidates to follow on Twitter?

How do you find worthwhile candidates to follow on Twitter?

There are a lot of spammers out there, how do you find the good ones?

One way you can find good followers is to search for someone in your niche or topic who has good followers then try to follow them. There is a good chance that they will autofollow you. Then after sometimes unfollow those people who are not active and especially those who just spam on links.

Many will argue with me, but I say grow your twitter profile slowly, focused on quality followers. Look for others who have the same interest in your topics.

My favorite words from twitter expert Scott (@UnMarketing) -

" I built my following organically, no steroids, programs or outsourcing I just lived here to do it. Write tweets that are easily retweetable, be interesting, be you. they will come."

Sigh. Twitter is not about blogs. There is no rational relationship between whether your blog is good enough for twitter. If all you're going to do is promote your blog on twitter, that's being a spammer.

If you're going to use twitter, you use it as tool to connect with others who are interesting, tweet interesting things, and you want to converse with.

Sure, you can be a spammer at twitter, but anyone can do that.
