I definitely need to increase my use of H1 and H2 titles. Right now I am using them as emphasis, not as what they are, titles. Another project for another day. Thanks again to all!

These are great tips. I will be looking to implement them. Also somebody who is an expert in HTML once told me that if I make my links open in a new window, that also helps, because people will see the other window and stay on my site longer. So far, I have only been able to change a few pages to be this way, but the idea makes sense to me.

It's not really luck when you do the right thing, and get good results People search using search phrases - and if you use the same search phrases effectively in page titles, in the on-page content, in navigation links, etc. then you deserve to do well on the search results pages - a case of making your own luck! |

I was given some advice and have found it really works for me. If you're going after visitors on a search term like 'raspberry ice-cream'. Make sure that you have the term 'raspberry ice-cream' in your page title,url,h1 as well as in the body of the page. I don't know whether it's technically right or not, but it seems to have worked for me. Maybe someone could tell me if I'm over doing it! One other thing is trying to get a link from another page on your blog to the page you're optimising, using the term 'raspberry-icecream'. |

The accepted way to use the h3 tag is for sub-headings. Here's what that means. Main Title of Blog: <h1> New Ways to SEO Market. </h3> The title of the blog article. Opening Title of article: <h2>5 Ways To Make SEO Marketing Easy. </h2> -ARTICLE Paragraphs- blah, blahblah, blah, blahblah, blah, blahblah, blah, blahblah, Sub Title: <h3>Step One To SEO Made Easy.</h3> Each Sub-title gets an <h3> tag. This assigns a priority weight to the different sections of an article in the eyes of the Google bots. As you can see I called the <h3> tag wrong in the earlier post. In other words the <h3> tag is not meant for the whole article. Sorry ![]() RT... I hope this clears that up a bit. |
