On your site - had difficulty navigating. Also, was wondering who your target audience is? Future students? Fellow classical musicians? random friends/family? It would effect your layout. For student's I would add more visuals, maybe have a music clip, success stories, etc. If your audience is fellow classical musicians I'd add more interaction, ways to follow, emphasize comments, link to other music teachers, etc. For random friends/family, maybe pictures of you, your students, etc.

Quirky Momma - I really wish your site was around in the first few years I had my son. While we had a lot of fun all the time, the arts and crafts stuff would have been fun too. Now, I'm not very good with that sort of thing but I think both my son and I would have gotten a kick out of trying it.
As for the look, the only thing I found distracting was how narrow everything was in the middle. I'm not sure how to explain it. Everything, from the sponsors to the Tags just seemed to be pushed up against your content in the middle and I'm thinking if you were able to widen the whole thing it might look better. Now, I'm not a technical guru, as you stated in on of my posts, so maybe it's just me. I was also wondering if you might want to take a second look at mine? I've updated it with an appropriate theme and am just started to get into ads as well, but just haven't had much time to put on the finishing touches. Much appreciated and keep up the great work on yours. I've already told a few of my friends who have just had babies about your site and I know they will check it out. Thanks

Love, love your new look. Your blog looks like a poker player's - great "face". Many of your links in your sidebar are either dead or going to odd places (like wordpress' home page). But other than that I think you are off to a good start. Keep me posted on your journey in the blog world. I'd love to see your next phase as well!

I think you've clarified my clutter problem really well and given me a solution - thanks. I too think it is cluttered and I've removed a lot of my sidebar links, but it still feels crowded to me. I researched and found out that pages are typically 1040 ish pixls wide and mine is somewhere in the 900range. I can probably stretch it a touch and make the sidebars a bit more narrow... or have a margin between where the sidebars end and the middle starts, what do you think?

I'll put it up in show off your blog once I've gotten it widened slightly - and a few other tweaks. Thanks!
