Lets Build Some Technorati Authority & Backlinks

I am looking for increasing my Technorati authority & some Google Blog Search backlinks. It can't be done if you exchange links in BlogRoll. Blog Search or Technorati doesn't count those links. It has to be in blog content. So here is the deal. It's a old trick used by few others, but it works
You review my blog about blogging & webmaster things in your blog. Just write few lines of a post. I will link to that post from my blog post. Thus we will get authority plus backlinks for both of us.
Just make a short review of my blog & reply here with the link. I will then add that link in a blog post of mine.

What is the point of having a high technorati authority? I've never seen the benefit (unless you're like the top 100, who have a ridiculous number of backlinks).

The real issue is what's the point in having a tone of links from non-related sites. Just makes it look like it's been involved in some kind of chicanery.

If you get a backlink from a good site which is non-relevant, it would still help in link building a bit
The problem is with only spam sites. My blog is not spam, so if your blogs are good it will still help in link building in addition to building authority in Technorati & Google Blog Search.

Speaking of Technorati - has anybody else been having problems with favouriting blogs? I have tried to favourite a few in the past, and it just takes me to the profile screen and keeps telling me 'you have no favourites'...no matter how many times I try to add the URL it doesn't list the site.

Any thoughts on why this is happening?
