Do you do videos?

Some folks may not have the capabilities to create videos--although most digital cameras these days have video functions--but creating and producing videos is a great way to market not only your blog but yourself. It's truly a way to engage with your audience.

Do you ever make videos and post them to your blog?

Yes, I have thought about doing videos for my blog. As there are a range of site including Youtube and Google video ect.... to display them on. Plus they say a picture says a thousand words. Think what a video can do!

I will be doing some for my new paintball blog. So I am sure that I will keep you all informed.

What about it engages you? Is it just nice to associate a face and voice (i.e., a brand or personality) to a blog?

Paintball blog? Wow...video should be a great medium for that!

Yes, hopefully. I will test some paintball markers ect..... I am hoping to build it into a paintball magazine.

I actually don't tend to watch videos much at all because I keep my volume turned off most of the time. For those that I actually set aside so I can view when I can have speakers or a headset on, they 'really' have to stand out. It's almost always a matter of personality. The person is interesting, funny (even when talking about more serious topics, they can still inject humor here or there when appropriate), bright and energetic.....he/she captures my attention and makes me want to come back for more.

I've been experimenting with Vimeo. I like it as a video sharing and hosting service, very professional and MUCH better than YouTube.
