Smile Now You Can Have Dynamic Headlines in FeedBurner Emails

After a long wait, Google finally heard bloggers and added dunamic titles to FeedBurner email subscriptions. Before this, all the email titles and subjects used to be same but now they can be set to change with post title.

Just go to Publicize--> Email Branding. In subject, enter ${latestItemTitle} where you want title of latest post to appear.

If you publish moer than 1 post, you can use ${m} to display number of posts(except first one). For example: Blog Name- ${latestItemTitle} and ${m} more with appear as subject Blog Name- Post Title and 2 More.

I really don't understand why you would do this. Are you trying to make the subscription stand out better in the user's inbox? To my way of thinking the user will be looking for the subscription as they expect it, and if you change it all the time then they won't know where to look or what to expect.

Because inbox usually becomes a mess after a month or two of subscribing. How in this world will someone manage 30 mails all with same subjects. Let's say you want to find a specific post but don't remember the date! It will take lot of time to find it. With dynamic subjects, readers can easily find right post!

Bloggers had long been asking for this feature.

I enabled this. The format I am using is Pallab dot Net - ${latestItemTitle}
That makes it easy for readers to spot out my email quickly and also gives them an idea about the content.
