Default What major piece of marketing am I missing?

I have read through countless articles here and on Google searches. Maybe it is because my content isn't very interesting I don't know. Here is what I do most:
I have had a few articles posted on ezine
Few posted in Triond and Associate Content
I post on forums some with name in Sig
I have it in my sig in email
I write content 5-6 times days a week. Sometimes multiple times in a day.
I comment from time to time on other's blogs.
I am apart of adgitize.com

Is there a glaring piece I am forgeting? Or do I just need to do it more?

What's the issue you are having:

- You are not getting traffic?
- You are getting traffic but a high bounce rate?
- Something else (lack of subscribers/repeat vistors, etc)?

What do you write about? Are you engaged with others who write about similar things, or have similar interests?

And are you involved in any local events, such as Meetups or Tweetups? Often we forget that face-to-face marketing is still very powerful.

I get spikes in visit every now in then, but never more than about 150. Those that do come don't seem to stay very long. I don't do enough marketing to similar blogs though. That is one short coming.

Video blogging - video marketing. I did not see anything mentioned about the power of videos.

Read your content yourself...

Do you find it interesting? Is is content you can't find elsewhere online? Would you read it if you found it on another blog?

What is your site offering that would cause people to come back?

Just because you write content 5-6 times a week does not mean that people are going to enjoy reading it. Make sure that you are creating content that is engaging and will have people excited to come back to see your next post.

Video is a great suggestion, although you have to admit not everyone is cut out to be on camera!

Very true. I thought about this route before, but have no idea what to say or do. I am not a camera person either. I once thought about a podcast, but have nothing say that would be any good.

Here is the biggest thing that you are probably missing:

Time

It takes time to build website traffic. It doesn't come quickly, and, in fact, it usually takes months before you get to a point where you have regular, high traffic over 200 visitors a day.

So be patient and keep up the good work. Traffic will come. Remember that blogging is a long term project.

That actually is part of it. I have had the blog since about September or August, but it hasn't be a steady, but since April.
I took long time off from Nov-Dec and Feb to April.
Thanks Guys
