How To Promote Blog On Forums?

Everyone is looking for traffic! Many people say that forums can send good amount of traffic to blogs. Well, my question is,
"How Can Bloggers Promote Their Blog(s) On Forums?"
What techniques do you use?

I'd like to know the answer to this too. Using signatures is the only way I know of that isn't spam (and some places frown on this). You can post relevant articles from your blog with a link and ask for comments, but check if this is allowed too.

On good sites like bloggeries, the "Recent Blog" plugin is great, it'll teach you to write good titles that's for sure.

Generally you've got to become a well known and trusted member to be able to get people to read your stuff.

Don't forget that every post you make with your sig is a backlink, so it will help your SE rankings. Also you never know who is reading.

I also use only these two methods! I am sure there should be more that can help people to drive traffic from forums.

Yes, Many big forums are full of people saying "Yes I agre" a million times and they're not much fun to visit.

Be a real person with helpful, insightful answers so that people like you and find your knowledge useful. Then they're more likely to look at any link you have.

That and don't be a make money blog.

Haha! Agree with you on this. There are so many around that even if someone tries t make legitimate one, it seems scam!

somebody right now is using automated forum posting software on this forum - not something I recommend!

I suggest doing "blogging" keyword research and then start new based on what you find bloggers are searching for - very likely to be about getting more traffic to their blogs!

you can also fish for new thread ideas by fishing on the other blogging forums - then start similar threads on bloggeries

your signature, and any links to your sites used as examples should help your traffic

Note to Admin: the number of sections on this forum looks puny compared to other blog forums out there - maybe you should do some research and add more sections to this forum

Most forums will frown on blatent promotion, I would say just add it to your signature on the forum.
