How has Summer affected your blog's traffic?

There are definitely less people overall on the Internet during the summer months, but if you double up your efforts you should be able to actually apply enough pressure to actually gain more visitors.

Infobarrel's traffic is up by about 30% so far in June and continues to go up almost daily. Granted Infobarrel gets over 500 unique posts a month, so our organic traffic kind of grows on its own.

Ever since school has let out, my traffic has gone down about 3% - 10%, which is pretty bad.

Over the past couple of years I noticed that holidays are really bad for traffic. July 4th, thanksgiving and opening weekend of deer season are all slow times for my sites.

Yeah, with 500 posts a month traffic would tend to keep growing. Most of us don't have the time to write that many posts per month, much less double up on promotion.

I'm just looking forward to the end of summer, when traffic will resurge again.

I haven't had a significant change really on any of my blogs. I suppose I'll see how it goes the next few months though.

Someone should make a seaonal blog, keep up all year round!
