Manual Posting Versus Short Auto Content

I've just looked at the wasup "activity" stats of my latest wordpress blog sites - they are only a few weeks old and don't have many backlinks - a couple have flatlined since I disabled auto content generation - the rest are falling towards flatline pretty fast

clearly adding a few posts per day manually is no substitute for cranking out auto content

I'm going back to auto content generation - but just for 1 category per blog site - a "news" category

I'm looking at mashups now for the rest of the categories - I've never used them before - but I have tried to get them right, without success

I just want some decent regular auto content to keep things moving - I can then add articles or whatever manually to suppliment the auto content

Even if you're using content that has a copyright release, it's Google's job to make these sites non-profitable, and Google is pretty good at their job. I think that you'd do better to find a fundamentally different business model.
