Some great thoughts, and always good to see people who are interested in the right kind of traffic rather than just any traffic. It inspired me to be a bit more proactive on Twitter and I've now gone from 65 - 330 followers in the past week without too much effort. I've also noticed that once you get onto the follower lists of some of the 'power-users' your spam followers increase exponentially. Once I've got a spare moment I'm going to go back and block a lot of them, so I've probably really gone to about 200 followers. But still a good exercise!

That's a great post. I have had a similar success using twitter. In about the same time as you i was able to get over 1000 followers as well. As you can imagine this dramatically increases traffic to your blog. |

| Frankly it depends on the quality of your followers. If you spam people and get spam followers than 100000 followers isn't going to do anything for you. But if you are an honest, quality Twitter user who does more than tweet your own URL's then you are going to get quality followers who will actually visit your blog. In that case just 100 followers can be a very powerful traffic force.
