I agree, having ads on your blog doesn't mean it's bad. A lot of great blogs I read have ads on them, but as long as the quality of the articles is good, I'll keep reading them every week. I know I put ads on my blog not because making money was the primary goal, but just to see if anyone would click. I'm blogging because I love writing and the internet is a great way to get an audience

I agree - I don't click on ads when I visit blogs, because I've ceased to notice them. And when I had ads on my old blog - I earned a grand total of $2.17, so clearly other visitors don't see them either. I decided against them in the end - I make more money from my ebooks and I like how clean my blogs look.

There's a firefox plugin called something like Ad Art which replaces them all with famous works of art. Pretty clever!

the greatest advantage of niche is that the bounce rate is very less and users avg time on the site is high. I am experiencing the same thing in my personal developemnt blog. So far so good
