Hi Blognemesis, Submitting to directories is actually informing a directory that you have a website or blog. This will expose your website or blog to the searchers online. The biggest directory is yahoo, but you have to pay USD $299/year, for a review first then Yahoo will decide to whether to list you in their directory. Submitting to directories will also get one way link back to your website or blog. Here are some of the things you need to take note: 1) go to free directories only 2) go for one way linking to your website or blog. There are a lot of these free directories on the internet. Does that answer your answer, Blognemesis? Is there anyone who want to share? |

| I don't think that Traffic Exchange is a good idea to boost traffic on your site. Have you ever checked the Bounce Rate of your site in Google Analytics?

I agree with Rajivkohli, that link exchange is not the best of way. If you want to do link exchange, I would rather you do submit you blog to directories instead. Submitting to RSS directories is also a very good way to generate traffic as well. Because link exchange and submitting to directories will require you to email (link exchange), and submit your blog. Both would require a lot of time and energy on it. But submitting to directories will have a one way link to you, thus boosting your page rank and driving traffic to you. I hope this will help you. Is there anyone who wants to share? |

Hi Rajivkohli, I did not know that, as I do not use Adsense to make money (too slow already). You can still use link exchange, but will dilute the traffic only. Is there anyone wants to share? |

So I got the answer. Yes you can not use Traffic Exchange for a website having Google Adsense on it. Actually, no time to read all TOS so found the answer here. Genuine Legitimate Income with Your Website: Online Money With Google Adsense - Part XX Hope it will be useful for others. |

I am submitted to technorati. And I also Ping from BlogBuzzer on a weekly basis. It gave a huge list of directories it pings to. I just selected them all. Will that be sufficient?

| I am sure all bloggers think their content is good and interesting but that alone will not build traffic. Great content does not rate with Google if no one finds it in the first place!

Back links work best. This increases the page rank and that's what directs more traffic to your site. Jaya Last edited by sadiessay-so; March 8th, 2009 at 11:26 AM. Reason: removed fake signature - please add in UserCP |
