 Newbie question... Do you advertise your blog on google?
Do you think it is worth paying to advertise with google, or does networking for free work just as well?

Keep it free if you can. Why pay money for something when google will eventually include you in the search results if you're good.

I agree with Ferox. Google will eventually index your page as long as you keep posting and use good keywords in your posts, and your tags.
