Very cool concept and I think in particular busy tech blogs or niche blogs could really get chats going. Lots of the time there are no real forums or chatrooms for people who follow a particular blog. I think this is a novel idea.

Have you had much success with it already?

This is our first stab at releasing something that was functional and easy for people to deploy. We have another version of the chat which was java based that many blogger/blogspot users embedded into their sites. They would use it to hold special QA session on on a variety of topics. It's been specially successful for tight niche blog communities, sports, celebrities etc...
