Not sure how he does it, but Denis de Bernardy has this function built into his (paid) Semiologic Wordpress CMS

Where do you want to add widgets? To your sidebar (all posts and pages that use it), to a particular page, to your archive pages?
What theme are you using? That makes a huge difference.

What exactly are you trying to do with widgets on posts/pages? Which widgets exactly. It is possible to widgetize any area of your theme, contrary to the belief that it can only be used on a sidebar. I wrote about this in my make your WordPress theme widget-ready tutorial.

It helps if you know PHP at all. Basically open them in an editor and drop the code in. If you have any probs post here and someone can help. Once you get it you can do any / all widgets.
