Default Widgets to Promote Your RSS Feed Everywhere

Cant' believe I didn't do this earlier but at Widgetbox you can create your own top of the line widgets and embed them on too many social media networks to name. I'll try though, blogger, wordpress, typepad, igoogle, facebook, hifi, ning, freewebs. Even if others don't want to install you can still use it to display your own feeds in a cool way.

Widgetbox › Bloggeries Blog Forum Widget
and
Widgetbox › Blog Reviews Widget

What do you think? Also feel free to add it if you want to help us grow. Most importantly look through the options and make one.

Thanks for the tip. Seems like a great way to promote your blog. Haven't tried this yet but I'm sure I will soon.

I use Widgetbox in my myspace profile, and initially had a few hits; Also use the feedburner burner rotating widget (shows last 5 posts) in one of my web sites and in other social sites. I think Google gadgets have similar widgets, including one for RSS feeds (where you can add your own feed)...

So, this really works? I had seen them on some blogs but hadn't really taken much notice. Perhaps I should.

It works if you promote either your profile, or website that has the widgetbox of your blog. For example, in forums where you help out others with answers and refer them to your profile - as long as your blog content is relevant. Though perhaps not refer too much, but also help answer other questions, without necessarily referring all the time. Of course it takes time, and a bit of passion/interest to participate in forums using this approach...

I couldn't believe how easy it was to build these blog widgets / blidgets.

Definitely go for it if it's something you think you'd like; it has code for many social media sites as well.

It does work pretty nice and I have also used it to grab posts from other peoples blogs that have created widgets and have placed them on my sites so I have some extra content for my readers. Maybe some day it will work the same way in reverse.
