Default Mobile-enable your Blog - extend your reach

Hi,

I just launched a new free service for bloggers. It mobile-enables your blog, and lets you broadcast your blog to mobile users. Visitors to your blog can then access your blog on any mobile device, on any network, without having to install a client or subscribe to a service.
The service combines text messaging, automatic bookmarking, and real time content adaptation.

You can access the service here: Mobile Blogs | Mobile Publishing

You can push blogs/feeds to your mobile phone (and see what your blog would look like) here: Mobile Blogs | Mobile Content

You can read more about the service on our blog (incl. FAQ): The BUZmob blog

When you mobile-enable your blog, make sure to send a short description of your blog, and I'll include it in our blog directory.

Cheers!
Oren

Default Broadcast Your Blog to Mobile Users!!

Hi Oren,

First let me say "WOW". This is a great innovation that I think will catch on like wildfire. Everything is going to mobile phones and it's about time you can broadcast blogs as well.

Just spent some time looking over your features and I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed. How long did it take to develop a concept like this? I haven't seen / heard of anything like this before today.

It's very exciting to see blogs becoming this accessible. This could spark a revolution as in people downloading podcasts to their ipod's now people can download their favourite blogs to their telephones so they can read them whenever and wherever they have the time, no longer restricted to computer time. Lots of people have limited computer time and would rather be doing active things, since reading a blog for the most part is a passive endeavour this should help whomever registers.

Very intersested in the marketing tools and statistics that will be coming soon as listed below in the features.

Not sure if everyone is going to fully realize the potential immediately... If you own a blog you are now getting onto people's cell phones... This has awesome accessibility and marketing potential!

Be sure to Show off Your Blog and post an introduction about yourself and how you found us.

Below is a list of some of the features: I suggest everyone take a look!

Thanks for sharing Oren,
Rob

Wow, thanks for the thumbs-up!

By the way - I notice that the forum generates RSS feeds - this means you could mobile-enable the forum as well - let users push RSS feeds to their mobiles, and they could then drill-down from the feed to the original posts/threads, etc. Simply add a "subscribe on mobile" link on each page which features a feed. This can be easily automated.

(email me at oren.friedman@gmail.com to discuss in more detail)

Yours,
Oren

Very cool idea! I've mobile enabled Online Opportunity. I don't have a mobile device to test it out with myself (I'm low-tech when it comes to phones and PDAs), but hopefully one of my readers will let me know how it works.

You can click on this link to see what your blog would look like on a typical mobile phone - start with the RSS feed, and you can drill down all the way to posts/comments, etc.

The service went live on May 15th. So far it has been set up on hundreds of blogs, on several forum-sites, and on a few media/blog-aggregation sites. So far, so good

BTW, on Friday I released a browser toolbar - it lets mobile users push any blog/feed to their mobile directly from the page they are browsing. Get it at http://buzmob.ourtoolbar.com (works on FF and IE, no spyware or adware).

Our mobile rendering and mobile development technology has been developed by us in the past 6 years. It is deployed with mobile operators around the world.
I joined the company a year ago, and decided to leverage the development tools we have in order to deliver a web-centric service which mobile users could use without having to deal with mobile operators.
The result is BUZmob, which has been developed for the past 4 months.
