I'm looking to get a page/hit counter for my webpage again. What's a good counter to use? Are there any custom ones?
My website is: Hedge Against Speculation |

Don't know about custom ones, using sitemeter

I use StatCounter Free invisible Web tracker, Hit counter and Web stats It's free if you only want to save the last 500 page loads in detail. It saves all your data on page loads and unique visitor numbers: but the detailed analysis is only for the last 500. If you want detail for more than this you can pay for it. Sorry, this is sounding like a commercial and I'm not affiliated with them, I'm just a happy customer.
It seems pretty reliable and it's a darn sight easier to use than Google analytics. |

most of them are free and without ads attached, one particularly nice in design is called shinywebstat or something, go google for it

For free Google Analytics seems to be the best choice
