That makes perfect sense. I hadn't been using anti-spyware or firewall due to laziness and it scared the heck out of me. One good thing that came from this is I have higher security on my PC now. Also have another Gig of Ram coming

Maybe look into the plugin Simple Trackback Validation

Seems like it does the same thing without blocking you.
