Default Recommended Programs to Check Blog Traffic Stats
I'd recommend a few things.

Free Blog Counters, Widgets and Stats by BlogPatrol.com
StatCounter Free invisible Web tracker, Hit counter and Web stats

and of course Google Analytics.

I'd install one of three of these on your machine and start finding out who is coming, how and for how long.
