I came across
Choosing Color Schemes site today when I had a need to pick a contrasting colour for a new paragraph I was adding to the Welcome section of our site.
What I like about it is the tool to automatically display contrasting colours based upon the main colour you choose.
We, finally, added a new page to our web site called Projects Listing where we list the first article in each 5+ series of articles about a particular renovation or energy conservation project on our home. How do I quickly get the visitor's attention?
I wanted to use a colour completely different from the brown, blue and green that are our site's colour scheme. But, I don't want it to yell at the visitor.
The tool on this site let me use a particular shade of red (I know, I know.....but before you judge my colour selection go to our site and see for yourself
) that I think does not 'yell' but simply draws the visitors attention amoungst all the other 'stuff' on our site.
What do you think about my colour selection? Appreciate your feedback.
