The file name of your photo matters a lot for searching on Google images too.
Make sure you name your photos with good keywords before you upload them to WP. I always beak up the names with dashes such as keyword-keyword.jpg rather than keywordkeyword.jpg unless it is a one word search you are looking to get hits from.
