Think of it this way. If you got 1,000 people together to create a club where everyone will visit the sites of everyone else, you will never grow beyond 1,000 readers unless you break out of that group. The number of really active people on Entrecard is probably less than 1,000. I know they have over 5,000 sites, but if you look, the vast majority of them just run the widget and are not very active.
